Green Sound is a rising family band located in California's Bay Area. Consisting of three siblings, they primarily perform Vietnamese instruments. Through their many years of experience, they hope to showcase the beauties of Vietnam through their performances and music.Although formally founded in 2022, they have been performing all over the Bay Area since 2018 in Hayward, San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto, and many others within the Bay Area!"Âm Thanh Xanh mang đến bình an và hạnh phúc!"

about us

Located in the Bay Area, we are a rising family band that aims to promote Vietnamese culture through Vietnamese instruments, dances, and songs. Consisting of three siblings, we primarily play the Vietnamese Zither (Dan Tranh), Monochord (Dan Bau) and Bamboo Xylophone (Dan T'rung). Though playing instruments are our specialties, we can also sing Vietnamese songs and perform Vietnamese traditional choreographies.In our developing world full of technological advances, we hope to share our culture and pass it on to the next generation in hopes that they will preserve the history of Vietnam. Each and every one of our performances showcases a unique quality about Vietnamese history from the different regions, time periods, and cultures, we hope to share every unique aspect of Vietnam. From the meaning in the lyrics to the history behind each movement, we want to express our love for our culture and share it with everyone. We hope to spread the love we have for our culture and showcase the wonders and the beauties of Vietnam to our community, inspiring others to learn about not only Vietnamese customs, but also to explore and discover their own historical roots.Regardless if it's a street festival, a private event, or a cultural celebration, we would love to perform at your event!
